Easy Product Returns & Replacements

We want you to love your Stella & Dot! If you are not completely smitten, you can return unworn items within 60 days with the original purchase receipt and packaging, and receive a full refund, less the cost of shipping. This excludes sale items and Party Perks, which are final sales.

Our Lifetime replacement policy will help ensure you get a fix for any products with a manufacturer defect.

Does the Item get returned to Stella & Dot or through the Stylist?

If an order was paid for by cash or check at a party, returns must be handled directly with the Stylist. If you have trouble contacting your Stylist, please let us know through our contact form so that we may assist you.

If you paid by credit card, you are welcome to handle your returns directly with the home office of Stella & Dot by following the procedures outlined below.

How To Exchange and Item

If you would like to return your product and receive another, we handle that request as a return. You simply send back the item you do not want, and when that item is received you will receive an online credit for the amount paid, including tax, but less shipping, to order your new item. Please note that additional shipping charges will apply.

This applies to orders for products in which:

  • You accidentally entered in an order for the wrong item
  • You ordered the wrong size
  • You would prefer a different color for an item that naturally contains variations

60 Day Money Back Returns

Fill out the return request form online and follow the instructions provided. We require that the form be filled out and confirmation printed and sent with the return in order to process your request. We strictly enforce this policy in order to ensure returns are credited in an accurate, timely and traceable matter.

One of the following valid proofs of purchase are required to make a return:

  • Email Invoice
  • Packing Slip
  • Order Confirmation Page received during your checkout from www.stelladot
A 20% restocking fee on the price paid for the product, not including tax and shipping, will be charged for items not returned in their original packaging. Mail your items with delivery confirmation to the address provided in your online return confirmation. This address varies by country. Kindly allow up to 14 business days from the date the return is received at our warehouse to process your return. We strongly recommend that you send your return in a traceable method and save your tracking information.

Lifetime Replacement for Manufacturers Defect

After ensuring your return qualifies for replacement by reading the below policy, follow the steps above.

Jewelry may be returned for replacement due to a manufacturer's defect, with the original Purchase Receipt. If your original selection is no longer available, you will receive an online gift certificate via email for the original amount paid for the item.

Jewelry returned within 60 days will be replaced at no charge. After 60 days, please add a $6 PER ITEM handling charge.

Fill out the request form online and follow the instructions provided with regards to mailing in your defective item.


Print the Return Confirmation email and include it with the defective products that you wish to replace. Include the return confirmation number on outside of your package.

NO REPLACEMENT REQUESTS WILL BE ACCEPTED WITHOUT A REQUEST COMFIRMATION. We strictly enforce this policy in order to ensure replacements are handled promptly and accurately. Please be sure your item qualifies for the guarantee before requesting a replacement online.

Manufactures Defects Include:

  • Non-functional clasp
  • Different lengths then described
  • Abnormal discolorations (beyond normal variations in natural stone colors)
  • Jump ring or chain link that is not closed properly
  • Length or size is different from described in the Look Book or online

Normal wear and tear, not eligible for replacement, includes:

  • Delicate chain that breaks in the middle of the chain from a child pulling on jewelry or catching on something that causes it to stretch or break.
  • Jewelry that falls off and is broken or lost
  • Dents and scratches that happen during normal wear
  • Jewelry worn in water, causing the jewelry to change in color
  • Gold plating that wears off over time is normal for gold plating; this is not a manufacturing defect, but is standard. Vermeil items are sterling silver dipped in a coating of 14k gold. With wear, the gold will fade. This process is greatly accelerated by jewelry worn in water, with perfumes, other lotions and in humid climates.
  • Slight irregularities and variations in stone colors or pearl shape, and inclusions are characteristic of the uniqueness and individual handcraftsmanship of each product and should not be considered defective.
  • Sterling silver that tarnishes. All silver tarnishes and should be cleaned with silver polish
  • Stones that come loose from settings when banged or dropped

How To Handle A Missing Item
